Headed to the cabin this morning for the weekend, we have a meeting and working tomorrow, I have most everything done around the shop and kitchen so now on to the ranges, I have 3 sets to do on the range and plan on doing them today, tomorrow if I have the help ,planning on getting the big white vendor tent up and the PA tent I call it by the work shop , they are the last big things to do that I can't do by myself so hope to get that done and set up. Time is closing in but almost there.  ;) :) Hope yall have a good one also. :)

Good but very sad weekend for me, Had to put my girl Sally down, it's been coming a while now but just finely decided it was time, I couldn't do it so my good friend Woody came over and took care of it for me, very thankful to have good friends when you really need them. We did manage to get some work done for the Classic, had a good showing Friday and Saturday and knocked out a lot of stuff. I went out Friday to do the 3 sets I had on the range. Sally and me around the fire for the last time Friday night  :( :(

Sally had cancer and it had went to her brain, she was completely blind and sometimes didn't seem to know where she was, very sad for me and all the guys that loved her. Had a good friend kill this nice turkey Saturday and as unbelievable as it seems he didn't want it, so he took a picture and gave me the rest, good meat and lots of supplies. Then we went to work, first getting the big vendor tent set, that is always a job but we got it done.  :)

More range shots, then took a break Saturday evening and put a rough sheath together for my last knife and also do a little work on my Hickory bow. :)

Then the last thing for the weekend was to get Sally's grave covered with flat rock from the creek, now she can rest in peace, Sister and I had a peaceful evening by the fire after everyone left. very sad but that's the circle of life, here for a while and then gone. Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good.  :)

She was a young and virile dog when I met her 12 years ago. I am saddened to hear this, was looking forward to giving her some skritches behind the ears and a few sweet words for her.

So sorry to hear about Sally, Pappy. Glad you and Sister had a peaceful evening by the fire.
The range looks great. If you don't mind, I'll post a few pics on TradGang.

The range looks great Pappy. I really need to get there.

That is an awesome picture of your girls. I’m sure Sister is a little lost to. They are such great companions. It’s just hard to lose friends like that. As you say though it’s the circle of life.

You could have missed the pain, but you would have had to miss the dance.  :-\

Yep so true BJ. Miss Joanie said the first question she wants to ask the Good LORD when her time comes is why did you make Mosquito's , :) they are good for nothing  :-\ and my question is what didn't you make Dogs live as long as we do  :-\ :-\ :-\ just his plan I suppose and maybe I will understand some day.  :)
