I love getting other people making shavings, even more so for kids! Good work, brother!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Had a nice weekend, spent most of it getting the shop in shape, got it looking pretty good, just need to make up a few more scrappers and gather a few more files and we should be set to go, also worked on the pavilion, got it all cleaned up and tables set, I think I am about ready. We also laid out the ranges, a little different this year just to give it a different look. I think yall will like it. Cut up some old junk staves and saved them for just cooking. We do a lot of that ;) :)

Broke one of my favorite arrows, I had some of Jim Davis's arrow fits, man them things work great, made out of walnut and very easy to use. Dave and Conner showed up for the youth hunt, he didn't kill anything but had the chance and missed, :( it happens. Great guys for sure and I enjoyed my time with them. I found a Hickory blank while cleaning I had started a couple of years ago, so I took a break and done a good heat treating on it and tip over lays, only 60 inches N-N but should work just fine for me, very clean wood, don't know how I forgot about it.  ??? :-\ ;

Man, those brats look good.  I'll be right over.

What's the tip overlay on Shawn's bow?

Just noticed that beautiful deer hide up there.  Do whitetail hides tan well with the hair on?  I've heard elk is good that way, but muley and antelope aren't.

I never brain tan with hair on, at least not deer, it is in the rack to dry then scrap hair and membrane off before tanning, guess you could but never tried it, deer have hollow hair not fur so not much good for anything except to look at or put on a table,breaks and sheds every where. Pappy
