Also built a stand for it, didn't get time to finish sanding and sealer, the rain stopped and had to go to work helping get set up for Saturday's shoot.  :) got a lot of good guys in the club so the work goes pretty fast.  :)

Done some practice Friday evening and robin hooded one of my buddies high priced arrows, told him he was in my spot. :) :) :) Had a bunch of kids at the shoot Saturday and they love the front fire pit and creek, love seeing the kids have some fun outside.  :)

Then the shoot starts, good turn out 116, it was a 1 day open shoot but the stick and strings out numbered the wheel bow by quite a lot, don't see that many places but almost always do here.  :)

Ya Bob , always makes my day when we have a lot of kids, my grand kids didn't shoot all that well but they had fun and that's all that matters, seems kids don't take shooting well as serious as we do, it's all about seeing the arrow fly as it should be. ;) :)

Headed to the cabin, got more gravel to get spread and opening up a few more camp and parking places, they are calling for rain later today so just maybe get some time in the shop, trying to finely get my Raw hide backed Yew bow finished, it is almost there and would love to get some sealer on it this weekend  :-\ Either way should be a fun weekend. Hope yall have a good one also.

My girls and me just hung around the fire Friday evening, Sally is still getting around but very slow and now going blind, not sure how much longer she has but hanging tough for now, she will be 12 Easter Sunday. Had some buddies come over Saturday and we went out on the practice range, I took my new yew and it shoot fast and draws very smooth but the grip is so small I just have trouble handling it so back to the shop for some handle up grades. ;) :) :)

Then to work on the yew handle, stripped all the old off and added a block, I don't normally like adding a block but this one had to have something, if I can't shoot one like I like I will try something and if that don't work I will cut it up and cook brats with it, we will see if this will do it when the glue dries and I think it will. ??? :-\  Shawn showed up to help and also working on an Osage splice bow. :)
