Got my old Dodge repaired yesterday and ready for a test run to the cabin, headed to the woods it's that time of year, hot here but the bucks are still doing their thing so I am headed out to see if any want to come and play. Got my FL./IN. buddies coming this weekend along with the boy scouts , think I am headed down Wednesday to stay so should be fun. I will post some pictures and hopefully some stories when I return. Hope yall have a good one also. Life is Good.

Been a great couple of weeks, lots of good friends/fellowship/hunting and eating. I spent a lot of time in the shop but did manage to get a few days hunting , had some exciting mornings and close encounters but no shots. Was down the first couple of days by myself and decided to finely do the wing bone call out of the tom I killed last year with my bow, ate well also.

Found this shell in the woods, don't find many of these around here especially still in good shape, also cleaned up a black pot for a friend $:-\$

[Eddie will know] and rendered some bear grease, doing it in the black pot seemed to make it darker but still clean and smells like beacon grease.

Then Eddie showed up, what a hoot he is to be around. He hunted hard and had some opportunities but just couldn't get it done.

We both had fun just the same.

Eddie was in charge of cook the back strap that night. Burn um up Chuck showed up for a visit, always good to see him.

Got my shell done and wing bones all cleaned up.

More cooking, got my call all fitted and put together. Had a friend ask me to do a euro mount so decided while I was there for several days I would get it done. Nice 10 point.

Eddie brought this new stuff so we tried it out on back strap, very good for sure. 10 point cleaned and ready to boil.

Chris and Shane showed up from FL. for a few days of hunting. Beau showed up with the kids, we had fun and they helped me haul wood, they will do anything if the kobota is involved and they get to drive.

Dave also showed up, don't know why I didn't get a picture,

guess because he was always on the move. The scouts had all kinds of challenges to get done over the weekend, from bridge building to fire building, good to see them so active.
