Also got the ditch straightened out behind the Black smith shop, it was jumping the ditch there and making a mess, put in a berm to stop that, and the ditch made straight and deeper. :)

Now for some shop time that afternoon, Had a buddy make a bow and made a mess of the tips so I repaired the tips and added new over lays, also got my next blade tapered and ready to fit handle and heat treat and temper. Good relaxing work after a day of cutting wood. ;) :)

That evening Joe and Doug showed up and we went to the range, Doug had a self bow I built in 2004 and gifted to him, he has gotten older and it was a little heavy so in a few minutes I dropped the weight by 8 lbs, it was 53@26 and I took it down to 45@26, he shot it well and it is still holding up fine after all them years. :) People ask how long a self bow will last, if built right and taken care of they will last a life time.  :)

Ya Bob it takes a while after fall and winter , hardly know where to start so I just have to start and the wood pile is the beginning, next go to the porches/sheds and then the work shop,it is amazing how much STUFF can pile up over the fall and winter  ??? ??? it's a slow process but hopefully be there by May. :) :) :) :)Then we can mess it all up again.  ;)

Pappy I’m always impressed by how much help your bunch supplies. It seems like it’s so hard to find that anymore. Many hands make the job easier and as long as they get along, actually even poor jobs can be a lot of fun.

Really nice to see.

Ya BJ I am very Blessed to have such a great bunch around me, they sometimes need a little motivation but once they get started they can get a lot done in a short time. ;) We have guys that know how to do most anything, a very diverse group.  ;)

Headed to the cabin this morning for a couple of days, got 2 bows in the works and finish work on my last knife, we had a lot of rain yesterday so excited to see how our new ditch line and culverts worked out, got my fingers cross that they held up and done what we wanted them to do. Also in the morning we have or annual TwinOaks rabbit hunt, we will be using bows but this year we have a guy coming with dogs so we won't be walking, trying to kick them up, we will see how that works. I am sure it will be fun either way. Hope yall have a good one also. Life is Good !!!
