GregB shows us his way of skinning Squirrels,  Father and Son, great for me to get to spend time with him. :) Terry doing some knife sharping for me, now that is a knife. :)

BigA shows up with more Squirrels. Terry and Case doing the skinning Saturday evening. Miss Joanie's yard sale fine for me, they need a little work but that's fine I like repairing old tools. ;) :) :)

31 Squirrels in the pot soaking. I found more splatted Oak in the wood pile, I save all of this I find for Knife handles and other projects. Nice fire Monday and Case giving little brother a lesson in skinning Squirrels, pass it on as we say. :) :)

Tails saved for the fly tiers in the club. :) Chris Goff shows up with a little project in mind, I help him out with that, turned out pretty cool. Clay wanted to save his Squirrel hide, I showed him how to flesh it and told him to save a bigger piece on hi next one. :) :) :) Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good.  ;) :) :)

I enjoy these pics so much. I am trying to get something started like that near me but I really want to see Twin Oaks first. Maybe the classic. I am heading to our state traditional gathering in Feb. Lake Marion Archery club is the closest thing we have in the state, I think. Nothing in the upstate.

Good luck with getting something going Chief RID, it's been life changing for me. Started with just a few like minded folks and grew over the years ,some come and some go but the core always seems to stay together. ;) :) You are right Bob, Yew makes a great bow but sometimes unpredictable. ??? I really don't have a clue what happened, I didn't violate the sap wood at all,
 tiller looked very good. It blew in a little dark spot on the back but I have seen lots worse looking area's in Yew with no problems, :-\ if fact the one I finished last year and have shot a bunch has worse looking stuff than that all over it, that is the only thing I don't like about Yew, seems to be no rhyme or reason to it sometime.  :-\ ;) :) :)

Great pics Pappy... I just did a Yew bow, looks very similar, mine broke in two places on the lower limb just when it was nearly finished.
Maybe between us we've got a good bow >:D.

Pappy looks like ya thinned out the tree rats a little, Squrriel is one of my favorite eats, We have more fox than greys, and ya they need some of that tuffness soaked out of them, i like your squrriel hide project :o I soften a couple hides yesterday that went really easy and then I got one of those hard as heck hides, Came out stiff and noisy crunchy, You ever have some that just don't won't to get soft. Thinking about smoking the less than soft ones and rebraining. Bob
