Thanks Kevin, I think it can be saved, I will know by the end of the weekend, I got the sinew wrap dried and a nice layer of thin deer rawhide on it 2/3 length like the snake skin was yesterday, just need it to dry for a few days and test it out,you never know but I think it will be OK,you caught it before it done any damage to the tiller and that is always a good thing. It was a very small lift and separation between the grains at a small swirl beside the knot in the fad,go figure, usually a knot in the fad causes no problems at all.
I may even try it out on the course this weekend, cause you are right it was/is still we hope
a good shooter.
Either way you will have 2,got some good wood picked out.
May be spring for #2 but it is in the planing stage as we speak.
In between doctoring on Kev's bow I did get time to put up another stand beside a good White oak, loaded and already dropping, should be a good spot/close to the cabin for some of them quick afternoon hunts, the weather is supposed to break tomorrow and looks good for 10 days, below normal for Temps, problem is hunting season don't start for 17 days.
so who knows how it will be by then.
