Mini-PA Forum Convention in Louisiana
« on: January 24, 2010, 01:55:11 pm »
Dinner was special last evening.   Many hot wings and much beer.....and a crew of friends.

Mullet, Recurve Shooter, Ian Johnson and I got together at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Hammond, Louisiana.   Somebody had to hold the camera.....so here are the other three.  There must be something wrong with the lens, the fellow in the middle looks shorter than the other two.

Ha,ha, Keith that's where the drain was in the floor. Man, I had a really good time and wish I could have stayed longer. I loved the story about the poor fool that climbed into a twelve foot Jon boat with those two young'uns. What was that guy thinking? ??? I want to thank you and your lovely wife for a very fine Louisiana welcome. And that tour of your shop and checking out all the cool woodworking tools will be the highlight of my trip. I still can't get over how small those planers are that you use. And I think that Frankincense and Mir mixture would look good on one of my bows.

I can honestly say that I have never met anyone   from this web board that didn't turn out to be like someone you have known forever. This place has a great group of people. Thanks, my Louisiana buddies.

Seriously Eddie, you look good for a 26-year old fella......really........no kidding.

It was very generous of you to give the boys some shafts and rock.  I think sometimes we don't know what our little daily actions are worth in the long run.   I'll do my best to get these guys to sit down with a local knapper here.    I made a spine tester which Trey has, so he'll be closer to making arrows, and Ian has a fletching rig.  Now, if they can just follow instructions........

correction, some fletching IAN put on for you last year. i have already accepted the fact that anything that ian does that needs to be done right, i have to wait till he's done, then go undo the catastrophy he created, and redo it, the right way.  :P

Piper, you will have to explain to "Recurve Shooter", who Popeye, Wimpy, and Brutus are.  ;) That is what the picture of the three of them reminded me of.  Just put a brown derby on Recurves head, and a little mustash, ( I'll gladly pay you tuesday, for a hamburger today... )and sailor cap on Eddie, and a corn cob pipe sticking out of the left corner of his mouth, and a ship captain's hat on Ian's head, and he could be brutus. ;D  Well maybe some guys need instructions.......seems like Ian got tossed under the bus....... ;D
