Red Elm board bow with linen Backing

I meant it as an exercise to see if I am able to do it anymore … well now I think it will be a present for a friend   :)

Sawed from a board of Red Elm, backed with brownish dyed linen fabric.
The handle has no arrow pass till now, I will make it just as he wants it.

Length NtN 61'' (155cm)
Width at Fade Outs 1 27/64'' (36mm) for the half length of the limbs, then narrow to 23/64" (9mm) at the tips.
40lb / 28''
(the left limb is the upper one)
The outer notches are used to string the bow.

Looks like a pretty nice Bow...I always did like Elm......it may be my new Monitor...but both Limbs seem to be Whip Tillered...seems that from the Fades to Mid Limb aint doing too much bending....JMO....Merry Christmas

I think you've done a fine job. Your tiller seems good to me, and it has taken basically no set. El D thinks it is whip tillered, but maybe he needs to clean his glasses! ;D. I really like your precise grip work. Does the bow have a built up riser?

I'm with Mike, it could bend a little bit more out of the fades. Other than that it looks pretty good. Elm is good bow wood and a pretty wood also.

I'd say the top limb is fine, bottom limb is a little whipped. As long as it shoots good, who cares! It looks great. Merry Christmas.

What's not to like. Tiller, handle, nocks are all very impressive. Not to mention a very decent full draw shot. Certainly bookmarked for Dec Self Bow of the Month.
