Nice finds! Those look remarkably like what I find here in Illinois, near the Indiana border; and probably made by the same group of people and same time period.

Neat Stuff!! as for the pics, I use an old program called AcdSee, leaves the dimensions the same size, but you can change the compression to a smaller filesize (kb or mb) without too much quality loss, and .bmp's to .jpg's or back.  Is a good program for viewing folders full of pics too.
