Its a tough thought,the bow is awesome pappy.A true work of art I'm working on one now that's going to take a toll of patience,if you know what I mean. I live here in southeast missouri an we have plenty of Osage.Its the only wood I really like,,its magical.The only reason I asked about the rawhide is My boy is seven,an I have snakey bow im working on for him.

thats why i use it all my bows are 1 growth ring but it is insurance and piece of mind. and its not hard to do.
