I'm on a roll....

My slow pace and much better than normal quality continues.  Here's one I finished this afternoon, made of Keokuk chert.  Can you believe this point was made from a waste flake??  The knapper was too busy trying to make a giant blade, and he threw this piece away.  Not wanting to see anything go to waste, I gladly picked it up and had it for many months before finally making it into a point. It's about 2 inches long, and about 7/8 of an inch wide.  Enjoy.

wow billy,that is great work and a pretty rock all so...you are really into those serrations...i am thinking that might be a better way to go for hunting rather than just pressure flaking the edge...thanks for sharing..john
