 Tim, ::)  the type is in the  title up top. It's a Clay County point. Just kidding, It's a Florida style point. The period is Stemmed Archaic, 3000-3500.

OK, I have to ask. Do you cut your own slabs and if so what kind of wet saw do you use. And what are you using to do the grinding? Do you have any pics you can show of your cutting/grinding setup you could share? I would think grinding stone would be an art all in itself and you obviously have that mastered. I haven't seen a lot of discussion on FOG techniques, so any info would be usefull.

  Bone... Yes after I cooked it... it got Dark But from the 3 rd slab on it did not turn dark at all..

  Sailordad on the poster of deep south points i have it calls it a Clay County ..

  StevenT..Yes I cut my own slabs..Its is a old rock saw thats runs in a oil bath...I made a grinder out parts and piece's laying around the house and order the Diamons wheel of Ebay...Yes  cutting out the preforms and grinding them to shape is a job in its self...I will try to get some pic's this week end if I have the time...If yall live around Western North Carolina come on to the house and we can cut ,cook,grind and eat and have a good old time...I got rock just bring your tools
