so its been a while- new hickory bow
« on: September 17, 2009, 11:11:27 am »
I have been so busy with the move and getting ready for hunting season and making bows for everyone else, i finally finished up my hickory bow...i actually finished it up a little while ago but this is the first i could post it.  but its got ipe tip overlays, a leather grip dyed in walnut stain, about 63- 64" long and about 55# @ 28 1\2" .its a nice shooter, i am very happy with this one. i stil prefer to shoot about 60# for hunting so this is a little lighter than i usually like, but i am sure it would get the job done very well.   thanks for looking at it- Ryan

I really like your bow!!!   How did you flip the tips?  Dry heat or steam or boil?  Looks great I love the full draw profile and the grip!!!!   Thanks for sharing!   :)  -josh

Nice hunting bow, Ryan. Hickory is a perfect bow wood for the dryer Western states.

Fine looking bow Ryan, looks like a hunter. Hope you get to try it out on some of those Montanimals.
