A few new points
« on: August 18, 2009, 09:18:04 pm »
Here are a few points I made recently.  They are still on the thick side, but I'm working on my thinning.  The long black one is Dacite, the middle one is Buffalo river, and the other is some untreated Texas. The Texas one is my favorite because it was from a small square block,  I surprised myself that I got anything out of it.  All percussion was with stone and antler the flaking was with copper.

Very nice Rick. I would hunt with any one of them.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

Don't worry, rubble is still my specialty.   ;D  I have to really start getting them thinner and wider.  I'm hoping by next hunting season to have some hunt worthy heads.
