question on a deflexed handle

I just bent some recurves into a stave i am working on with the heat gun , and they came out a bit bigger than i was expecting.    the bow will bend through the handle,  but what would you think about inducing a deflex into the handle to help stabilize the bow.  or would you just proceed to tiller as normal assuming that some of the recurve will be pulled out with time.

I don't know what wood your using, but most self recurves will induce deflex on their own, I call it set. If the recurves are working, you need to get them working first, before you flex mid limb. Marc and Ryan make some great recurves, I'd get their advice.

I wouldn't induce deflex in the handle.... a bend-in the handle bow will introduce its own stability. You'll get your string follow and see that it's stable.
