A friend of mine was telling me when weave cattail quivers its best if made from green cattails not dried ones. With them being green will make them more quiet then dried ones. the wicker women said you can weave them green. ???

Every time I've tried weaving with green anything, it dries, shrinks, and loosens up big time. I would cut them, let them dry a few days, then dampen them just enough to be flexible.
