I'm glad to hear Gary is doing well.  He is such a great teacher and a generous person.   He is the person that introduced me to this whole world.  I met him at the Great Lakes Longbow Rendezvous and since then I haven't even touched a glass bow. ;D

I called Gary last night and he said the operation was just a "bump in the road".... He said to tell everyone he is doing well, and that if he hadn't been there, he wouldn't believe he actually had a bypass. He said he was just a little sore between the shoulders....

He plans on pulling 58 lbs by October, and said he is taking a few different bows with him to the Doc next week to get some feedback on rehabilitation....gotta love it!

Looking forward to seeing him in camp again...

My wife just got off of the phone with Gary.  I't seems he always calls when I'm not home and talks to her.  Hmmmm.

Anyhow, He said they ended up doing a quadruple bypass once the surgeon got inside.  All of this was preventative and did follow ant heart attack.  They took all of the veins from his arm so the healing time will be faster.  He feels better than ever and has a Dr's appt tomorrow and next week.  He should be driving again by next week.

He is very appreciative of all of the cards and well wishes.  He is throwing around the idea of traveling to Hawkeye at the end of the month if he keeps progressing at his rate.

That is great news!
