Bending ERC

What method is preferred for ERC bending, I have the ERC I picked up at this years classic but I need to straighten out some twist and add some reflex.

Haven't tried ERC, but if it's anything like the juniper we have around here, then steam is best.  You can steam it when it's dry, but it will check (when it dries out) if left too long in the steam.

I think steam would be better. ERC has a low flash point when dry. If you use dry heat it would probably ignite. JMO. You could always cut it till it is flat and back it with some rawhide. It works that way for me.

I would probably seal it good before I steamed it,that will probably keep down the checking. :)

I'm going to back with rawhide once I get it straight. This is my first attempt with this stuff, eager to see what I get.
Thanks for the advice. Guess I'll seal it up and steam it.
