Sounds good, but if I don't untwist it, won't I have problems with uneven bundles or a strand have slack? 

no, you shouldn't. just safeguard the lose ends for the second loop with a clamp against untwisting

Or are you saying, just don't untwist until done, count the amount of twists you took out, then straighten out and pretwist the opposite direction?

yes, exactly! don't untwist until you've got the first loop

Burnt Hill Archer, when I stretch the string I just mean to pull on it.  I do stretch it by leaving the bow strung and don't serve until the stretching stops all the while keeping it at brace height. Jawge
