This is a bow that's been in the works for a
long time now. It's hickory, 70" with a walnut handle addition and hickory overlays, only about 1 1/2" wide with a nice dished grip and a small leather locator for the arrow. It's backed with cotton (there was a small crack that worried me) and pulls about 55-60# at 27". It shoots better than almost all of my previous bows with arrows hitting the 11 gpp and more. It' a good one, depste the little crack on the back and a little knot on the belly (thanks for all the help guys). I used a leather and wrapping patch. Haven't had an issue yet.
I'm sending it to a friend with a 30" draw, so it should be about 65#. I owed him a bow and since I've been having trouble getting bows done lately, I'm sending this one to him. He's going to finish it out. Hence the rough appearence
This bow has taught me some things: flatbows are the way to go with these whitewoods, good heat tempering really helps a bow, how to put a backing over a knot prjection (on bottom limb), and I like dished, narrow grips
