New Maple Bow

My third attempt, and second that shoots.  It's a Maple self bow 67" TtT, 65" NtN.  Pulls 55# @ 27".  Handle is Red Oak and Poplar(left over scraps).  Bow is stained with Griffin liquid wax, Red on Back and Light Brown on the Belly.  Suede wrap on handle with leather arrow rest.   Would this be considered my 2nd or 3rd bow, for numbering?

Pretty nice looking bow.  A board?  How wide at fades and tip? A full draw pic will be welcome

Working on the full draw.  Files are still too big.  1 1/2" from fades to mid-limb(14") tapered to 5/8" at the tips.

 Yes it's from a board.  It was in the Ash section at the lumber yard, which was right next to the maple.  Yard man said it was Ash, but wrote it up as Maple for me.  After getting into the grain, it looked like maple to me.  But I could be wrong, and it's actually Ash.

Looks a lot like maple to me.  Sweet bow.

It sure looks like the maple I'm using right now for my horsebow. I'de say it's maple.
Whatever it is, it looks like a fine bow!

A pretty decent bow, for your third. If you're keeping track of numbers, it's your third bow... regardless of the end result. We all break stuff along the way.

If that bow was mine, I'd finish the tips. Make the tips more round, and lighten them up. There'll be less hand shock, and a bit more speed. Take those clunky square tips, and make 'em round and purdy! Start by tapering each tip to a point from the side, and then from the belly side to the tip, and then sand them nice and round.

Thanks all for your words.   ADB, I was contemplating doing just that.  I wanted to make sure she held together first.  Tomorrow I'll work on the tips, I have some bark that I seized, and have drying flat on a form.
