Stave sealing question

I aquired some ash. I split it and got 5 usable staves out of it. I don't have time to do much with them right now. I have them stored in my garage off of the ground. I sealed the ends and backs with titebond II.

Is this a good way to store/ season them?

yup,are they laying flat or standing?
i would lay them flat,that way the rh is equal down the length of the stave and it should dry evenly

Yes they are laying acoss saw horses with the back facing up.

TB works for sealing, but so does cheapo Elmer's glue or spray shellac-much cheaper than TBIII.

Watch the unsupported center of the staves.  As with any lumber, you may develope a sag.  More work straightening later.  Good luck with the Ash.

If you are going to leave the bark on Ash you better spray them with some kind of insecticide. Worms will eat it up if you don't. Dean
