Sounds OK. But, play with your brace height until you find the sweet spot. A low brace height equals more speed, and is easier on your bow, but it's noisy, and really whacks your arm. Excessive brace height is hard on your bow, cuz you are overdrawing it, but it is more quiet. Most of my bows are tillered for a brace height of 5.5 - 6.5", and that's measured from the bow's back.

I've formed the habit of bracing nearly all of mine at 6", measured from the thickest part of belly side of the grip.  Seems to be an ideal balance for good arrow flight, noise, and speed.

Sounds good, that's where I keep most of my bows tho some do shoot better a bit higher. I think it depends where your string lies.

I brace most at about 5 1/2 to 6.Just depends on how they shoot,I don't think there are any set rules, selfbows are typically lower than lam or glass bow.  :) from most I see.

I brace my bows high enough for the fletchings to clear the handle, then tweak it from there. I literally use the old fistmele measure..about 6" or so I think.

I start with the fistmele and adjust from there. Some of my bows like a shorter brace and some like it higher. I think alot of folks overlook the brace height when fine tuning their bows....Brian
