light yew bow
« on: March 17, 2009, 03:03:11 pm »
Hello fellows,
this is the little light bow I've made for my girlfriend.
It comes from two little billets that I won on ebay, low density american yew, 59" 28 pounds at 25". Ebony tip overlays.

Thanks,
David

Very nice bow. You did real good for the profile in your billet splicing. Tiller looks great and looks like a fine weapon for the lady. ;)

Thanks for your compliments Dana, Dustin, Keenan, Pat and Dean.
It is also my first try with yew. I've loved this wood, it's pretty nice and soft to work with.

Very nice bow! - Really like the lines at the handle section; tiller looks good, too!
How about some more details??

Very pretty bow!  How about a pic of it unstrung and a close-up of the tips?  Looks like you did a great job on it. :)
