Looks to me like that Crack goes a lot farther than just a 1/16" into the Sapwood....from the Picture it looks like it travels well into the Limb....I would strip the Rawhide off....sinew wrap it let it set....replace the Rawhide....let it set some more to cure....then Tiller it again....and if She Blows....Like Pappy always says....Cook Brats with it....no sense having Wallhangers laying around....if they won't Shoot....... Grill with em......
