A few WarBows

as here was a request for War bow pics, I tought i would share a few. Some you may have seen, some you may not have seen.

A lovely handful of Italian Self yew warbows


Shooting a 105lb regon Yew warbow.


Shooting "Little Jem" 120lb Oregon Self Yew.


Shooting 128lb Italian Self Yew Warbow.


Doing a Demo and Seminar in Hungary with "Thin Lizzy" 105lb American Yew warbow and Armour piercing arrow with 4" plate cutting Bodkin.


My mate Mark Stretton shooting 165lb Italian Yew Warbow


My mate Glen with 125lb laminate I made for him.


My Son Ben (The one shooting) aged 9 with his 52lb Italian yew mini warbow


A few of my mates, from left to right, Jeremy Spencer (Shooting), Alistair Aston and Ratty


Joseph Gibbs 137lb Self Yew Warbow (This was the actual moment he broke the BLBS Standard Arrow Record 315yds)

in the 12th photo,there is a large building in the back.is that an old palace or something liked it?

just curious
i always wanted a harley,untill it became the "thing to ride"
i ride because i love to,not to be part of the crowd

Steve thanks for sharing the pictures they are awesome :) 9 years old and pulling 52# heck I'm 48 and and thats about all I can manage ::)

yeah he started at the age of 4 and now he is 10 and he has a new bow now which is 55lb@24", he won the flight shoot for the Juniors last year at badminton with a shot of 197yds, that was with his lighter bow, Ihate to think what he will be capable of when he gets to his teens ???

ouuuuch  just lloking at the pice of those bows on the scales make my shoulders ache.

how do you guys manage to pull them bows back without hurting your shoulders? ???

Trust me Sailordad....it does hurt for a while and then your body adjusts to the weight quite quickly.

well i aquired this osage stave that is about 8 ft long,5 inches wide or so.
think i could make a warbow from that?i really would like to give it try. if ya want to see the stave, see my post in anything else titled  "minnesota nice"
it would need a little straigtening
and i would have to get the neighbor to pull it for me,2 shoulder surgeries already dont need another lol   
oh well its something to think about.
