I think Spalted Maple makes some badass Knife Handle and Stands too...

I have my Brother looking for Burls and dead Maple all the Time back Home

I got my gift in the mail a couple of days ago, but have been to busy to post it till now. It is from Kyle McCabe. The blade is from bandsaw blade stock his brother traded with Venisonburger, and is very sharp. The outside lamination on the handle is osage from a stave his brother traded with PatB. The inner lam is Cherry and was Kyle's. My pics dont do it any justice. Thanks Kyle. Joel

I got a large tube in the mail today. :)

My gift was from Skeaterbait. It is a nice Osage bow.
It turns out, this bow is special because it is the first Osage bow Lonnie made, and came from the first tree that he found, cut, and led all the way to completion.
This is a nice gesture, and a great bow.

Lonnie, it does shoot well. Maybe I'll give chase to a deer or two with it some this fall. :)
