Crazy knife (pics)
« on: December 15, 2008, 04:08:03 pm »
Here's a crazy knife I made.  Blade is pumpkin obsidian from Oregon, chipped into a stylized version of the feared Caribe piranha.  The handle is osage.  The handle has the skin of a water moccasin glued on it, and is accented by squirrel skin.  Both the snake and the squirrel were killed with my osage bow and stone-tipped cane arrows a few months back.  Enjoy!

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

You should have just left the blade alone, You could have told everyone it was a fossilized lobster claw. ;D

I can't even imagine knapping something that wild.  You must have been sweating it out when you were getting close to being done.  That is one wicked looking blade. :o  Amazing work

WOW!  That's cool 8)
Awesome work on a beautiful piece of stone, and I love the skin.  I bet it would have looked great on a bow.
Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.
