hickory backed mulberry ?'s
« on: July 15, 2008, 05:48:46 pm »
i found a local hardwood supplier who carries mulberry boards, would these be worth my time backing with hickory or boo perhaps?
worth my time meaning: take the compression, any better than hickory. im sure they will need to be mostly heart wood also?

Mulberry is a very good bow wood and would be a good candidate for hickory backing and probably boo also. Do you know what specie of mulberry it is?       Pat
