Leather chisel supplier?
«

Getting ready to try my first sewn-on grip. Does anyone know where I can get a leather chisel; the kind that punches 3 or 4 small "slots" at a time?
Also, what are my best options for a lace?
Thanks

Red, Google Tandy Leather Co. They should have an on-line catalog. You might also try crazy crow. they may have these tools also. The chisel is usually to make the holes for sewing and a hole punch to make the holes for lacing. Pat

For lacing I use artificial sinew. Before using I remove the wax with some acetone. I've noticed a few guys using kangaroo lacing. It looks really nice.

Kangaroo lacing is made from kangaroo hide. Very nice, thin and strong leather lacing. Pat

well.. ifn yer patient as i am ......make one.....just get some steel from a local ace hardware... and get some shaping needle files... and go to work.... i have one that punches 1..2...3..all the way up to twenty holes at once.... like i said though... you have to be patient... a dremel helps speed it up though
