Gelatin based hide glue

hey All, I have been working on a small osage bow. 1220mm or 48 inches. I processed a stack of Roo tendons to back it and tried to make hide glue from a gelatin. So I followed what seemed to be standard procedure but it didn't set hard after a couple of days. So I've done something wrong.
Do I leave it and see?
Heat it up?
Pull it off?
Would the tendons be no good?
Cheers

I guess the main question is "what kind of gelatin" did you use? I have only use Knox gelatin from the grocery store which always set up with no problems.
As for reusing the sinew, I don't know, perhaps the gelatin will wash off of it in warm water.
