Update on first bow and tillering advice

Bow is hickory about 70" overall. Picture at 50lb pull, lower limb (right in pictures) has some twist to was wondering if it's possible to tiller some of that out? The circled areas are what I an seeing that need to bend more but wanted to see what you all thought. Thanks for all the advice thus far!

Don't worry about twist too much. Shorten that string so that it will only just slip onto the bow.
Looking ok so far, but really pulling very far yet.

Yeah the sting is just a peice of 550 cord I had handy I'm getting ready to order some actual bow string so I can make a proper string for it.

Looking pretty good so far. Like Del said, don't worry about the twist. But...is the twist in the unstrained limb or under tension?  If only under tension check the thickness from one side of the limb to the other. If uneven it will twist as it is drawn. Also, the knots can cause stiff spots that can cause twist under tension.

Pat thanks for the advice the twist is there when not under tension but seems to get slightly worse under tension.

Often, just pushing the string across a little at the nock can help the bow track straight, or scraping a little from the stiff side of the belly.

Until it is braced you don't know where the string is going to track....and it doesn't matter as long as it isn't way outside the handle. Wait until it is braced then shape the handle to the string.
