I've been offered a few pounds of red deer loin sinew by a game dealer. Is it of any use? The guy wants £5 per kilo plus post, so it ain't cheap

Sinew is sinew. How much is 5 pounds in dollars, $10 or so? $10 for 2.2# seems reasonable.

Can't comment on the price cause each one has to determine what is worth to them but as for the sinew there is very minimal prep needed for it if it has been clean well and dried. Tear into small threads for sewing or hafting arrow heads...use whole to back a bow. I prefer back sinew over tendons

I think I will be able to specify the cuts I need, but I don't know if it will be cleaned for me.

Backstrap sinew(aka. silverskin) is pretty easy to clean. Leg sinew is tedious to clean.
