Recent natural shaft harvest

Here are some natural shafts i collected recently. They include viburnum, red osier, another dogwood (not sure of the name, the shoots are a nice light green color), wild rose, and domesticated rose.

Nice find! One thing I've learned is collect way more than you need as not every shoot will yield a good arrow.

The green stem dogwood you have could be a cultivar of Cornus sericea(var. "Flaviramea"), red osier dogwood.

Around here about half of the Red Osier is green.

Viburnum is my favorite arrow shaft. It’s super strong.
