Mabye this Post won't cause such a uproar.  I am Making my own arrows with Homemade metal broadheads And was trying to find a digital scale that reads in grains so I can make them all the same wieght(with in reason) but all I keep finding are ones the read in grams, any suggestions on manufactures/models would be appreciated.

Thnks, Raimiewmg

There are 437.5 grains to the ounce and 28 grams to the ounce.   My scale measures in ounces and .oo of an ounce so I get the weight in ounces and multiply by 437.5 to get the grain weight.
   example, cane arrow weighs 1.27oz x 437.5 =555.625 rounded up to 556grains.
Check out reloading supply stores or try 3Rivers Archery. They are a sponcer of PA.     Pat

3Rivers sells a small "pocket grain scale". It's pretty cheap and works superbly. Doesn't measure to the grain, but every 25 or so. Easy to read and works well for making points/arrows.

I bought mine at the e-auction site for about $10 plus shipping.  Just do a search for "digital grain scale".

Any sports store like Cabellas will have rifle reloading scales that read in grains.  Justin
