Made a shooting glove
« on: March 16, 2020, 12:40:12 pm »
Decided to learn the art of making a shooting glove.  The finger tips were a learning curve.

It's a bit stiff around the wrist bones, probably should've used a lighter weight leather, but it ought to break in like a shoe (hopefully).

Sweeeeet.....Very nice stitch work. That looks like it'll last QUITE a while.Better than those flimsy deer skin ones...Ha Ha.
PS... Like the snake skin adornment also.
I've cut that section out on top of the hand before to let the hand stay cooler and not get wet from sweat though during hot weather shooting.

Looks good!  If it stays too stiff, you might try laying it out on a cushioning piece and beat it "tenderly" with a ball peen hammer!  On the flesh side, of course!

I like that ball peen hammer idea.

Hm, I used a similar technique to "repair" a computer one time...
