Good work, and good story. A spear gun and a bow from the same tree--that's pretty cool.  Now, seal that bow real good and do some bow fishing.  Then go kill a deer with your speer gun, just to keep things symmetrical.

I really appreciated your sharing the family history or where you grew up and also the journey you experienced in making a bow out of your stave.  I think you can be proud of what you accomplished and I trust your other stave will turn out great ... I look forward to seeing your write-up on it hopefully not too far down the road.  Thanks for sharing.
