Thumb still not liking it, but I worked through it anyway.  Nice little obsidian blade. I’ ll try to halve a antler handle in next couple days.

Very nice! That’s some clear obsidian. Almost all I found seems to have something in it which is odd cause the artifacts I’ve seen were all the clear stuff.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Nice job!  Medic says soak hand in hot water with Epsom salts after icing for 20 minutes (lol)!  Also keep exercising and do not hit with hammer!  Watching for the hafting job, that would look good with antler or cholla.

Thanks Marc.
Thanks Tracker. It’s some nice obsidian. It’s pretty strong and doesn’t crumble as easily as some I’ve worked before. I’m wearing a leather glove now though. I was just getting way to many long sharp flakes flying off into my hand. It looks just as black as can be until you hold it to the light.

Thanks Jerry, dr said it’d take six months to heal right. Like you said try not to hit it, but exercise and use it.

Last night before I left the shop I put a stack of laments together. Oak, Black Walnut and English Walnut.
Then I cut a slit in antler and shaped antler. Got end ready for lamented button.

This morning I used clear 5 min. Epoxy to put on my end cap button. Then I sanded it down to fit with my floppy wheel .
