Art of making a Mongolian sinew backed bow . . . .

Note : This is NOT a hornbow but sinew backed only.

( . . . needless to say it is on my “bucket” of bows . . . )

I just need to pick out the wood to use . . .

Scyth

This was already posted on here a while back.  The interest in it was largely quashed but the idea works exceptionally well.

Pat -

. . . that is too bad . . .

Medicine Bows is building a sinew backed Asian bow.

See “Wood Composite Bows” :

https://medicinebows.com/category/allgemein/

They are well respected & well built & traditional (dating from the 1st millennium a.d.)

Yes, I've built  a lot of  them myself.  They are very good performers.
