Well, I experienced the government first hand, a 5-6 hour process turned into nearly 12 hours, with the usual snafus, neither hand knowing what the other is doing, etc. the actual operation seems to be successful, no signs of adverse effects so far, and the implant is in! Of course, I can't hear out of the right side yet! Turn on date is 2 January. Feel like I was in an 8 man stick fight and I didn't have a stick! Mostly from being maneuvered into odd positions, so the doc could get everything in the right places, still have some expected dizziness, but improving rapidly. After they get me back on the air, I'll undoubtedly be surprised how loud my bow string twangs! May need to add another set of beaver balls! Have to learn how to listen all over again!
