Can't be too hard on anyone about this though. A good percentage of the people on here were raised on the premise that forest fires were bad. It was common knowledge. Smokey the bear was orphaned by a forest fire, Bambi's father was killed in one. Fires killed trees and put loggers out of work. All that stuff. We just didn't realise we were painting ourselves into a corner. Now here we are surrounded by flames and there is no easy way out. We want to light fires but because of all the tinder we left in the Smokey the Bear days it's too dangerous. But wait, Mother nature don't care about us. She'll straighten it out, just don't get in her way
