Bamboo and...

Black Locust, Mulberry, Buckthorn, or Yew? If you were making a D/R bow, and you had to pick one of these four woods, which would you choose to pair with Bamboo?

I've only done yew and boo but it is very good. Not much help, eh :D

  I used to think that tension strong bamboo needed to be matched up to something that could stand up to it. I know longer think that way. I think you can match it up with any wood that has good compression qualities.

Yew. Boo and yew an awesome combo.

I once made three bows of the same length, weight and d/r profiles. A boo/yew bow, a boo/osage bow, and a fiberglass and hard maple laminated bow. The yew bow outdistanced the other two with ease... and looked and felt better doing it.

Actually also quite curious how it turns out, maybe make it a post. I have some Red Oak, Bamboo, and Yew from just recently I am hesitant to touch them until I am sure what to use them on.
