Nice Tracker, I've got a drawer full of them I should do that to. I'm thinking that might be a good project for our 4-H group. I could donate the points. All the kids could with some help make the necklaces. Then the group could sell them at the fund raising auction.

Those are some very nice points and necklaces.

I bought push pins and glued them to the really bad side and gave them out to my grandkids for their caps.

Another good idea I might try Jeb.
Good for you Paulc, a very worthy organization.
Tracker those are some pretty nice sub par points but I think I know what you mean. I have a bunch that look ok pretty nice but I wouldn't hunt with them.

Yeah I guess I could choose a better word. I match all of mine same weight and try same length/height. Also if they have thin spots in the middle they get a no vote. So they aren't sub par, just not fit for hunting points. Thanks for the compliments! I'm trying to figure out if I could do free classes or something but I dunno about kids and breaking glass

I'm trying to figure out if I could do free classes or something but I dunno about kids and breaking glass

Contact a plumber in your area and let him know your planning a knapping class for kids. Tell him you need as many old or damaged toilet tanks as he can get. "Thunder chert" is a much safer material for the more youthful beginners.  Offer to put the plumber's business info on your advertising fliers and any notes you might hand out to your class as a thank you.
I have nothing but scorn for all weird ideas other than my own.
