Fort Massac days

I got to dress up and play with fire this last weekend. This camera dude kept hanging out while I was working the bow drill. Talk about pressure!! (Link disabled)

The fire demo was a real crowd pleaser, but the bulk of my time was spent flint knapping while my buddy Gordon demonstrated bow building. Love meeting folks and showing the Primitive arts.

Real nice duds, real nice.

You fellas look the "part"!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857
