Benefit auction
« on: October 21, 2016, 08:01:13 pm »
I haven posted much in a coons age but I thought I'd give it a shot.
I was asked if I'd donate something for a benefit auction.
The guy was hit head on by an 18 wheeler , he was on a Harley
I made a knife & pedestal for the event. Not much to say about it , TX flint, TX whitetail antler, & TX oak .
I was shocked when it was the highest item auctioned off
$500
I've received lots of requests for more.  I guess folks out there can still appreciate our ancient art
Here are a few pics

Great benefit contribution – I hope the guy is doing well.  Also, a Great display piece. I trust whoever won the bid will respect and appreciate the fine craftsmanship and beauty…I sure do!

That's an awesome piece! Awesome that it went for so much! Too cool seeing how generous this community can be
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Worth every penny. I couldn't imagine a Semi coming at me and being on a Bike and surviving.

Two thumbs up Don. That is a trophy, and I'm not surprised at the auction price.

Thanks for sharing that Don. Love seeing well made stone knives and yours are always on point. The price seems high until you consider the years of experience it takes to learn how to do what you do. There's very few knappers whose skill and generosity I respect more than yours. Keep on knapping brother!
