Sumter Thumper, a Don Burchette bow
« on: August 09, 2016, 06:34:59 pm »
This is the little bendy that Don Burchette very graciously gifted me. Snaky little osage Eastern Woodland, pin knocks and some clan sign on the belly. Osage, 53", 61#@25" all natural  from finish to the linen string. Very nice, smooth drawing (even at the draw weight) no hand shock what so ever and dead quiet.     Must be something in that Sparkleberry swamp water Don 8) 8) 8) This bow fits me perfectly (although I'll need some work if I had to shoot it all day >:D) Please enjoy the pics hope ya like them

PS: thanbk you my friend, you and Gutshot made some most excellent bows......wouldn't trade either of them for anything.

That is a very nice looking and stout piece of Osage.  I bet it is a fun shooter.

Very cool, great work Don.  Looks like those pictures were taken in the middle of a poison ivy patch!

My sentiments exactly Aaron!
Beautiful bow though that's for sure!
