Holy Osage?
« on: March 16, 2015, 03:58:41 pm »
So Sidewinder (Danny) was kind enough to ship me one of his osage staves he had lying around a month or so back. It's my spring break so I was finally able to start on it. This is my first bow working from a stave (all the rest have been from boards) so I like to pretend I know what I'm doing but I'm not sure I actually do know. How should I go about these knots in the top and bottom limb? I'm struggling here and I don't want to mess this up - there's no osage in Houston or College Station!
And I attached a full draw picture of the last bow that I finished - osage 68" ntn at 60#, I received it floor tillered so I just had to put some finishing touches on it!
