Left and right feathers

I have some secondary turkey feathers. When I split them I can make fletching out of either side. If I split a left hand feather does the other split become a right hand fletch? I hope that's clear

Each feather has a left and right side just like each bird has a left and right side. Be sure you keep the left sides with the left sides and the right sides with the right sides.

When you split the feather, hold up the two halves. One will twist one way, and the other will twist the other. One twists right, the other left.

The leading edge of a left wing feather acts like a right wing feather, while the trailing edge
IS
a left wing feather. And vice versa. Good on you for picking this out! It's another way of getting more bang for your buck, so to speak.
