Tiller check Hackberry #2
« on: September 15, 2014, 09:40:05 pm »
I am thinking it is still a little stiff above my hand and top limb maybe a little stiff overall.  I rigged up a pulley and rope on the side of my shed and I still can't judge tiller that way.  I can have someone take a pic of my drawing and I can see right away where I need to work.  It is about dead flat when unbraced right now and the top limb has a minor kink about 1/3 down from nock barely shows when drawn

I am not drawing to what I intend to be full draw.  I am hoping to get at least 26" and maybe 27".  It is 56" nock to nock.  I think it would be solidly over 40# at 26" right now.  Hope I don't have to lose too much more weight.

I think it looks good. Does it balance nice?
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

It feels like the lower limb is maybe weaker.  Don't really know how to explain that but now I know what some of you are talking about being able to "feel" the tiller.  It is better than it was.
